Jimmy Shubert has established a remarkable career as an actor and touring comedian. He appears in the film "American Nightmares" alongside Danny Trejo, Vivica Fox, and Jay Morh, which aired on Cinemax. Recently, he completed filming for the upcoming movie "Puppy Love," featuring Hopper Penn, Michael Madsen, and Rosanne Arquette, set for a major theatrical release.
As a comedian, Jimmy is one of the busiest performers today. He was a finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and performed as the closing act on Comedy Central’s Dave Attell's Comedy Underground. He has just finished post-production on his new hour-long special "Zero Tolerance," soon to premiere on a premium cable network.
Shubert headlines top comedy clubs, casinos, and theaters nationwide. His new special "Zero Tolerance" showcases his blue-collar, everyman persona. On television, Shubert is known for his five-year recurring role on "King of Queens" and multiple appearances on "Entourage." His acting range includes roles from a prison guard during a hostage crisis to a murder victim on "Monk." He has worked with notable stars such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Katie Holmes, Kevin James, James Caan, and Robin Williams.
His TV guest appearances include IFC's "Maron," ABC's "Back in the Game" with James Caan, CBS's "2 Broke Girls," Disney’s "Zeke and Luther" as Bobby Dicey, the world’s greatest daredevil, and the pilot "Barely Legal," about a dysfunctional family law firm. Additional credits include "Heist," "The Loop," "ER," "Reno 911," "Rude Awakenings," "Angel," "Lucky," "New Car Smell," "Sonny with a Chance," and "Youth In Revolt."
Jimmy’s film career took off with his role as Vic Jr., the lollipop-sucking strip club bouncer in Columbia Pictures' "Go," directed by Doug Liman. He has since appeared in films like Jerry Bruckheimer’s "Coyote Ugly," Fox Searchlight’s "One Hour Photo," "The Italian Job," and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."
He recorded his first half-hour special for Comedy Central Presents at the Hudson Theater in New York City, receiving critical acclaim and a standing ovation from the audience. Additionally, he has released three comedy albums: "Animal Instincts," "Pandemonium," and "Alive & Kickin’." His upcoming album "Zero Tolerance," produced by Grammy-winning Dan Schlissel and Stand Up Records, will accompany his new special.
Jimmy has toured extensively throughout the United States, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, Korea, and performed alongside Drew Carey for troops in the Middle East and Afghanistan as part of the Defense Department’s "America Supports You" program.
