Biographie
Jessica was born in the small town of La Romana in the Dominican Republic. From a young age, she displayed creativity, often putting on plays for family and friends. At just seventeen, Jessica moved to Miami to pursue new opportunities in America.
Adjusting to Miami was a unique experience. She enrolled at Miami-Dade College, studying English while also taking acting classes to nurture her passion for theater. Soon, casting agents from Univision noticed her, leading to regular work as a spokesmodel for various Spanish-language TV shows and numerous Spanish commercials.
Seeking to break into mainstream English-speaking roles, Jessica relocated to Atlanta. There, she dedicated herself to studying the Meisner technique and Stanislavski method under Lisina and John Stoneburner. This training earned her a guest-starring role on Nickelodeon's "My Parents, My Sister and Me" alongside Robin Givens. She also appeared in the feature film "Repentance" with Forest Whitaker, who encouraged her to follow her dream by moving to Los Angeles to pursue serious acting.
Hollywood welcomed Jessica warmly. She landed multiple roles across films, television, and commercials. Driven by a desire for more creative control, she co-developed the project "Night Angel" with director Ben Ramsey. To hone her craft further, Jessica trained with top Los Angeles acting coaches including Tom Proctor, April Wester, Peter Wise, and Bobby Chance.
As more productions shifted to the Southeastern United States, Jessica returned to Atlanta, where the film industry thrives and she could focus on developing new projects. Her recent credits include the feature film "Domestic Seduction," TV shows like "Madam Secretary," and a national print campaign for "Go Back. Move Ahead," encouraging adults to return to college, keeping her busy and in demand.
Jessica's latest passion is advocating for the rights of underage sex slaves worldwide. Deeply moved by stories of young boys and girls exploited by tourists, she aims to establish an organization to raise awareness among local politicians and protect these innocent children from ongoing abuse.
A dedicated fitness enthusiast, Jessica trains in martial arts, distance running, aerobics, and military tactics, which has contributed to her physical roles. With her skills and determination, Jessica Medina is poised to become a standout action star.
