Biographie
Aleksandr Ustyugov is a Russian actor known for his work in theater, film, and television, as well as a director and musician.
Born in Ekibastuz, Ustyugov completed his education at Ekibastuz Secondary School No. 15 before enrolling in Vocational School No. 18 to train as an electrician specializing in the repair, installation, and dismantling of mining equipment, graduating with honors. Between 1988 and 1993, he studied at an art school under S. P. Panteleev and also trained in boxing at the Youth Sports School.
In 1993, he continued his studies in Omsk by enrolling in the Omsk State Academy of Railways, pursuing a degree in car building engineering. After three semesters of full-time study, he switched to correspondence courses to join the Omsk Youth Theater, initially working as a gaffer before becoming part of the acting troupe. In 1996, he entered the Omsk Regional College of Culture and Art. Upon graduation, he relocated to Moscow and in 1999 enrolled at the Higher Theater School named after Boris Shchukin, studying under Rodion Ovchinnikov. After completing his education in 2003, he joined the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) in Moscow, where he remained until 2014.
Ustyugov gained widespread recognition for his role as Roman Shilov in the TV series Cop Wars (2005). He is also noted for his performances in films and series such as Ottsy i deti (2008), Privet ot Katyushi (2013), Sled tigra (2014), Panfilov's 28 Men (2016), Viking (2016), Zolotaya Orda (2018), Better Than Us (2018), Godunov (2018), Union of Salvation (2019), Rikoshet (2020), Killer (2022), and The Rage (2023).
