Biographie
Cassidy Sage Lehrman was born in Seattle, Washington, and spent part of her childhood traveling across the country in a 20-foot RV with her family before settling in Paonia, Colorado, a small town of 1,500 on the western slope of the Rockies. Free from traffic lights and fast food chains, the town thrived on culture, arts, community, and agriculture. At age 10, Cassidy became a DJ for a children's music and talk show on the local NPR station. By 12, she was writing a regular arts and culture column for the local newspaper, making her the youngest contributor under 40. That same year, she told her parents she wanted to become an actress. Two weeks later, she auditioned in Glenwood Springs for the role of Mary Lennox in the musical adaptation of The Secret Garden and won the part. Her performance earned rave reviews and, thanks to her charisma, she was invited to Los Angeles, where within months she secured a role on HBO's Entourage as Jeremy Piven's daughter, a part she played until the series ended seven years later.
Beyond television, Cassidy has appeared in numerous national commercials, hosted an internet radio show, performed on stage in Hollywood, and won "Best Actress in a Short Film" at the 2010 SoCal Independent Film Festival. She has also featured in music videos, narrated audiobooks, and is a lead character in an upcoming video game. Besides acting, Cassidy creates beautiful colored glass beads in her studio. She is also a dancer, studies Krav Maga, and is skilled with a bow.
Her sister Jessica, three years older, is an independent documentary photographer based in New York. Jessica’s compelling work on music, culture, and politics has been published in Rolling Stone, Billboard, and other magazines. Together, Cassidy and Jessica have combined travel with volunteer work—Jessica has worked in orphanages in Central America and India, while Cassidy has toured military bases in the Middle East. The sisters hope to travel the world together someday and collaborate on creative projects that both raise awareness and entertain.
