Biographie
Barbara Tyson has performed in films, sitcoms, drama series, and television commercials.
She began her voice-over career at seventeen and has since recorded over 7,000 radio and TV voice-overs in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Tyson's voice can be heard across nearly all media platforms.
Barbara started her career in Toronto, Ontario, working at an advertising agency by day, attending college classes at night, and securing roles in television, radio, and theater productions.
Her breakthrough came at eighteen when she was cast as Carol Burnett's daughter in "Between Friends," an HBO film starring Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Taylor.
Soon after, Barbara moved to New York City to study acting at Carnegie Hall with famed coach Freddie Kareman and at HB Studios in Greenwich Village with Herbert Berghof.
Tyson then secured a contract role on NBC's daytime series "Another World" as singer Dawn Rollo, the first daytime drama character to confront AIDS. This role attracted significant attention, including a feature in People Magazine.
As a singer-songwriter, Barbara led a band in New York and performed her original song "Bye Bye" live on Another World. She played venues such as The Stone Pony in Asbury Park and CBGB's in New York City.
Following her time in New York, Barbara relocated to Los Angeles, where she appeared in numerous productions worldwide.

After four seasons on the Canadian television series Neon Rider, Tyson was cast in Stephen J. Cannell's series "TWO," playing FBI Agent Terry Carter alongside Michael Easton. This made her the first Vancouver-based actor to share equal billing with an American star.
As her career advanced, she became a series regular as Madame Luci Prescott opposite Tom Berenger in the Western "Peacemakers" for USA Network, and played Mrs. Claus alongside Beau Bridges in "A Christmas Secret." She was Jim Belushi's love interest in K9-PI and portrayed Billy Connolly's wife in "Beautiful Joe." She also starred opposite Sam Elliott in "The Final Cut" and worked with Timothy Hutton in the mini-series "5 Days to Midnight."
Sometimes credited as "Barbara Bush," she has guest-starred on many TV series including E.R., The Outer Limits, Poltergeist, Fringe, Painkiller Jane, Fear Itself, and Alien Nation.
Barbara has also appeared in numerous sitcoms, notably as "Bambi," secretary #22 on Murphy Brown with Candice Bergen. In the season 2 opener "Anchors Away," Bambi ran a phone-sex service discreetly from her desk.
