Dave Snyder is Executive Producer at MasterClass, where he creates, produces, and manages video courses taught by renowned figures for the premium online education service. In 2025, Season 2 of G.O.A.T., which he executive-produced, received the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Instructional Visual Media. Within less than two years, he produced two courses ranked among the top ten best-sellers in the platform’s decade-long history.
Before MasterClass, Snyder was Senior Vice President of Documentaries & Current Programming at World of Wonder, an Emmy-winning company known for documentaries and series such as HBO’s Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, and Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes with Ronan Farrow, alongside reality hits like RuPaul’s Drag Race and Million Dollar Listing.
Earlier, as Executive Producer of Development at RadicalMedia, he developed documentary films and series with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Joe Berlinger, including two Netflix #1 shows (Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich and Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel) and five top-ten Netflix hits (Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes, The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes, Murder Among the Mormons, Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer, and Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich). He also produced Confronting a Serial Killer for Starz (2021 SXSW Film Festival) and Shadowland for Peacock in partnership with The Atlantic.
Snyder served as VP of Development & Production at Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions, where he co-created, produced, directed, and cast segments of the pilot for The New Yorker Presents for Amazon, featuring Andrew Garfield and Alan Cumming (Sundance Film Festival). He also co-created and managed CNN’s Death Row Stories, co-executive produced by Robert Redford and narrated by Susan Sarandon (season five premiere 2020), and developed Netflix’s Cooked, featuring Michael Pollan (Berlinale selection).
His experience spans genres including comedy, reality TV, and narrative film, having served as showrunner, director, or producer on shows like National Geographic’s Explorer, MTV’s World of Jenks, and Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
Snyder has produced content for HBO, NBC, Paramount+, Comedy Central, Discovery, A&E, HGTV, Food Network, and Fuse. He has collaborated with acclaimed directors such as Oscar-winner Roger Ross Williams and Oscar-nominees Liz Garbus, Steve James, and Lisa Cortes, as well as with Emmy-winning companies like Jax Media and Zero Point Zero. Notable personalities he has directed, interviewed, or worked alongside include Bill Clinton, Christian Bale, RuPaul, Quentin Tarantino, Jodie Foster, Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, Ron Howard, and Tabitha Brown.
