Biographie
Michael Jones is an Emmy nominated and Peabody Award-winning production sound mixer based in Brooklyn, NY. Educated at UNCA (BS) and NYU (MMMT), he has 20+ years of experience in the international film and TV industry, with a focus on documentary projects. He has collaborated with Academy and Sundance Award-winning filmmakers Barbara Kopple, Fisher Stevens, Lauren Greenfield, Ron Howard, and Charles Ferguson.
Michael has recorded production sound and music across five continents - in Cuba, Mexico, Central and South America, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Laos, Philippines, Morocco, Senegal, Kenya and throughout the US and EU. His work has been broadcast on HBO/MAX, Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+, Nat Geo, PBS, The Discovery Channel, A&E, The Food Network, and Arte among others.
Additionally, he is the Chief Audio Engineer and Co-Producer of PRX's Peabody Award-winning "Afropop Worldwide" radio program and accompanying podcasts.
