Biographie
Paraskeva Djukelova was born on November 14, 1970, in Panagyurishte, Bulgaria. In 1992, she graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, specializing in acting under Professor Stefan Danailov. She has performed at the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov," Satire Theater "Aleko Konstantinov," Municipal Theater "Renaissance," and the Bulgarian Army Theater. Her notable roles include performances in "Forever ... and another day" by Milorad Pavic, "Skin and Sky" by Dimitar Dinev, "Elder Son" by Alexander Vampilov, and "Running Strangers" by Alexei Kazantsev.
Djukelova appeared in several Bulgarian feature films, including "Mayor, Mayor" (1989), "Arrhythmia" (1992), "Canaries Season" (1993), "Sulamit" (1997), "The Assistant" (2002), "Emigrants" (2002), "Burning" (2004), and "Women's Time" (2007). She won the Golden Rose Award for Best Actress twice: in 1994 for her role as young Lily in "Canaries Season" and in 2004 for her performance in "Burning."
Her international film credits include "Versenzhentoriks" (2001), "Air Marshal" (2003), "I Am David" (2003), "Icon" (2005) where she starred alongside Patrick Swayze, and "The Abandoned" (2006). She has also appeared in various television films and series. Additionally, Djukelova served as the host of the Bulgarian cinema TV show "Monday 8 1/2" on BNT. She is married to Victor Bozhinov, and they have one child.
