Biographie
Jeffrey Scott Whitten is a film, radio, and television broadcast educator, mentor, and award-winning producer.
From 2014 to 2024, Jeffrey Whitten was a pivotal figure at Titan Communications, the on-campus media outlet at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), which includes a TV studio (Titan TV), radio station (Titan Radio), and website hub (Titan Universe). As a Television Specialist, he trained and mentored the next generation of aspiring content creators and journalists in film, radio, and television. His work encompassed multi-camera studio production, radio production, website management, closed captioning, and live broadcasting, all within a hands-on academic environment.
Since 2018, Mr. Whitten has taught upper-division TV Studio Production and Directing courses as part of the Broadcast Production Track within the Cinematic Arts Department at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). He trains and mentors students on all aspects of television production, from pre-production planning through to post-production workflows. His students gain hands-on field experience in technical, administrative, and teamwork skills through a variety of modern television studio production projects, including narrative sitcom productions, music performance programs, TV news programs, talk shows, and newscasts, all utilizing a multi-camera setup.
For a decade and a half, Jeffrey Whitten has been a teacher, trainer, and mentor for diverse groups of students in film and television studio production, cinematography, editing, and live broadcasting.
