Biographie
John Doman ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, ehemaliger Offizier des Marine Corps und Vietnam-Veteran. Er ist vor allem für seine Rollen als stellvertretender Polizeikommissar William Rawls in der HBO-Serie „The Wire“ (2002–2008), als Colonel Edward Galson in „Oz“ (2001), als Rodrigo Borgia in der internationalen Fernsehserie „Borgia“ (2011–2014) und als Don Carmine Falcone in der Fox-Show bekannt Gotham (2014–2017) und Bruce Butler in The Affair (2014–2019).
Im Fernsehen hatte er wiederkehrende Hauptrollen als Dr. Carl Deraad in den Staffeln 5 und 6 von „ER“, als CEO Walter Kendrick in der zweiten Staffel von „Damages“, als Senator Ross Garrison in „Person of Interest“, als Aidan Moran in „Feed the Beast“ und als Jonah Vogelbaum in „The Boys“ und als Robert Silas in „Law & Order: Organisierte Kriminalität“.
Er hatte mehrere Gastauftritte in den Serien Law & Order und Law & Order: SVU. Er hatte auch weitere Gastrollen in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Practice, Judging Amy, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, CSI, Without a Trace, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Burn Notice, Rizzoli & Isles, Elementary, House of Cards, Instinct, City on a Hill und For Life.
Er hatte Gastauftritte in den Filmen „Stirb langsam mit aller Macht“ (1995), „Cop Land“ (1997), „Mystic River“ (2003) und „Blue Valentine“ (2010). Er hatte auch Rollen in anderen Filmen, darunter Mercury Rising, City by the Sea, You Were Never Really Here, Cold Pursuit und The Trial of the Chicago 7.
Er lieferte die Stimme von Don Morello im Videospiel Mafia: City of Lost Heaven, die Stimme von Caesar im Videospiel Fallout New Vegas und die Stimme von Dog with Bucket Hat in der Zeichentrickserie Birdgirl.
Doman trat auch in Werbespots für das Versus-Fernsehen auf. Der Soundtrack der Werbevideos ist eine Interpretation von Metallicas „One“ aus Apocalypticas Inquisition Symphony-Album von 1998.
