Biographie
Steve was born and raised in Southern California. When he was four, his family relocated to Granada Hills, California. He and his sister were brought up by two loving parents who encouraged them to pursue their passions, which included sports, movies, and animals.
After graduating from Granada Hills High School, where he played baseball, basketball, and track, Steve was well-known for his humor and ability to make friends. He then attended L.A. Valley College, joining the baseball team. His first two college games were spring training matchups against the USC Trojans, the previous year’s national champions. His team won the doubleheader, and Steve had an impressive performance at the plate. In addition to baseball, he played basketball and won a punt, pass, and kick contest for the entire San Fernando Valley as a teenager. Alongside sports, he became involved in the theater department, acting in plays and performing stunt work, all while holding a full-time job. After graduating from L.A. Valley, he pursued further studies in Theater, Business, and Physical Education at California State University Northridge and UCLA. Post-college, Steve played baseball with the rookie teams of the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies.
Steve launched his professional acting career at 17, working in films, TV, commercials, and high-profile modeling. In his early twenties, he began hosting charity events, film premieres, and beauty pageants. At 24, he produced the Miss California World Beauty Pageant for KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles, which aired statewide and garnered a large audience. Throughout his twenties, he remained active in acting while starting to cast for film, TV, radio, commercials, and print. One early project was the national radio show "Satellite Live," where he booked celebrity guests interviewed on a program competing with Larry King for national listeners. Steve also spent time as a professional gambler and disc jockey in Beverly Hills and aboard major cruise lines throughout the Caribbean and South America. Additionally, he coached and produced the celebrity softball team, the "Hollywood Cover Girls," which toured globally raising funds for various charities.
Among his early roles was booking the Christmas spokesman for the International Salvation Army Christmas Show, securing stars such as Charlton Heston, Jimmy Stewart, and Gregory Peck. Over his career, Steve has enjoyed collaborating with many talented individuals in the film industry, including Academy and Emmy Award-winning actors, both on screen and behind the scenes. He has acted in, cast, produced, and hosted more than 300 television shows, films, and live events. One of his greatest passions is helping performers launch their careers. To date, he has cast 48 films, over 60 television shows, more than 70 commercials, and numerous print jobs worldwide. For the past 21 years, Steve has run an Actors Showcase that has helped start or revive many acting careers. He also hosts an internet talk show available globally on the Actors Entertainment and Actors E channels.
