Biographie
Rajiul Huda Dipto is a versatile Bangladeshi author, screenplay writer, podcaster, poet, lyricist, and photographer. Born in the district of Chapai Nawabganj, Bangladesh, now residing in Australia. Rajiul has made significant contributions in various creative fields.
In 2019, Rajiul's literary career took off with the publication of his first book, "The Book of Pragmatic Fairy Tales.", an indie publication by Amazon. Alongside his writing endeavors, Rajiul co-founded the immensely popular podcast channel, So, We Say! with his younger brother, which has garnered a large and devoted audience in Bangladesh.
Apart from his creative works, Rajiul completed post-graduation from Flinders University. He studied Master of Social Work and now working as Mental Health Social Worker and PBS Practitioner.
Rajiul's prowess as a screenplay writer is well-established, having dedicated several years to the Bangladeshi television industry. He made his debut in 2016 and has since been involved in numerous successful projects. His creative skills extend beyond writing, as he is also an accomplished photographer. His captivating photographs have been featured in prestigious magazines and exhibitions worldwide, earning him acclaim both locally and internationally. Rajiul occasionally publishes his works in national dailies, showcasing his versatility as a multi-talented artist.
Education played a significant role in shaping Rajiul's artistic journey. He began his academic career at Green View High School and later enrolled in Harimohan Govt. High School. After completing his secondary education, he pursued his higher studies at Nawabganj Govt. College. Following his HSC, Rajiul moved to Dhaka, where he gained admission to East West University and completed BA Honours in English. Now he is enrolled in Flinders University, studying Master of Social Work in Adelaide, Australia. Rajiul's affinity for poetry emerged early in his life, leading him and his younger brother, along with their teacher, to publish their own book of poems titled "End Of The Boundary."in 2012. The book received positive reviews and achieved unexpected success in the local market of Chapai Nawabganj, serving as a profound inspiration in Rajiul's artistic journey.
In 2013-2014, Rajiul's career took a significant turn when Radio Bangla Adelaide (RBA) hired him as a scriptwriter for their weekly shows. This opportunity provided him with valuable experience and propelled his growth as a writer. During the same period, one of Rajiul's poems was selected to be recited on the program "Banglar Gaan O Kotha" (BGOK), which aired on Saskatchewan Community Radio, Canada. These milestones further fueled his passion for writing and encouraged him to explore his creative potential.
Notably, Rajiul also worked as a lyricist for the Australian Metal Rock Band, "Shadow Realm." He penned the song "Let There Be Blood," which served as a protest against the injustices prevalent in the world. The song was featured in the album "Riotous 14," released in Bangladesh under the banner of G-Series in 2016 and achieved tremendous popularity. He has also worked as a lyricist with 'Gaan Frendz', a popular Bangladeshi Youtube Channel for few of their projects back in 2016.
While in college, Rajiul collaborated with various production houses, focusing on writing stories for short films. Although his stories did not materialize into complete films at the time, he persevered, and in 2016, his career gained significant momentum. Three of his screenplays turned into video fictions, which were aired on TV channels during Eid-Ul-Fitr in 2016. His association with Underground Creative Factory (UCF) as a scriptwriter solidified his professional path, leading to the release of eleven highly acclaimed video fictions that resonated deeply with television audiences.
Additionally, Rajiul has written and acted in stage dramas, including adaptations of Christopher Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus" and "In Love with Jane Austin."
Rajiul's photographic journey is equally remarkable, with his work being exhibited in 14 exhibitions worldwide. His first photo exhibition took place in Palo Alto, California, USA, and he gained recognition when one of his photos was selected for the "Mobile Art Academy - 2015" exhibition. His photographs have consistently garnered attention and accolades, securing a place in the "Top 100 Runners-Up" list and earning him invitations to prestigious events. Rajiul's talent and dedication have been acknowledged by esteemed publications such as "Apogee" from the USA, which featured one of his photos titled "Digitalis-ed Bangladesh" in 2015.
Additionally, his photograph titled "The Asking Boy" was showcased in the May 2015 edition of "The Picture Professional," a renowned photography magazine published in the USA. Rajiul has received multiple awards, including being recognized as a "TOP 50 Dhaka Photographer" and "TOP 80 Bangladeshi Photographs" by 35Awards in 2016. His exceptional works have been published by Smithsonian Mag, Popular Photography, and SHOT Magazine from the USA and Portugal. In 2023, his photograph was featured in PhotoVogue, the photography wing of popular Vogue magazine.
Currently, Rajiul is contributing in PhotoVogue, working as a radio jockey in Radio Bangla Adelaide and working on a book which will showcase the compilation of poems.
