Biographie
Marjan Faritous was born in Tehran, Iran. At the age of 9, in 1983, she moved to Europe due to the increasing violence of the Revolution. She sought refuge in Florence, Italy, and Stockholm, Sweden. In 1984, she arrived in San Francisco, California, where she began her journey in the arts by attending The School of the Arts at MacArthur High School. After graduating, she pursued intensive training at The American Conservatory Theater. Since 2000, she has lived in Los Angeles, continuing her goal of becoming the first Persian actor to win an Oscar. Formerly a mainstream actress and producer, Marjan Faritous adopted the stage name Persia Pele and made her adult film debut in August 2008. She has appeared in approximately 40 scenes for companies including Vivid, Wicked, Penthouse, Bluebird Films, Reality Kings, Bang Bros, Brazzers, and Playgirl. Raised in San Francisco, she lived independently as a teenager. Her varied experiences include working as an underage stripper, attending cosmetology school while managing a massage parlor, doing makeup in Hollywood, and acting and executive producing the indie film 30 Days to Die. Her growing career earned her a nomination for the 2010 AVN Award for MILF Performer of the Year. On May 21, 2014, Marjan Faritous was arrested in Riverside, California, on charges of prostitution.
