Biographie
Richard is an experienced film and television professional with a remarkably varied portfolio.
His career launched with a series of cult, genre, and family films, including the Quentin Tarantino favorite "Vice Girls," the Genesis Award-winning "The Bike Squad," and the innovative "Call of the Wild 3D."
The film "InSight" received a theatrical release to critical praise, with Yahoo Movies describing it as "Well Directed and Acted From Start to Finish." Starring Natalie Zea, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Christopher Lloyd, the feature was later acquired by A&E Networks for its World Television Premiere.
Following this, Richard directed and produced seven consecutive feature films acquired by A&E: "Imaginary Friend," featuring Ethan Embry, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Schul, and Paul Sorvino; "In The Dark," starring Elisabeth Rohm, Sam Page, and Shannon Elizabeth; "The Good Mother," with Helen Slater, Jean Louisa Kelly, Patrick Fabian, and Beverly D'Angelo; "Non-Stop," starring Lacey Chabert, Drew Seeley, Will Kemp, and Veronica Cartwright; "The Wrong Woman" (A&E’s highest-rated acquisition ever), featuring Danica McKellar, Jonathan Bennett, Dina Meyer, and Jim O'Heir; "Expecting Amish," which premiered as the highest-rated cable program, starring AJ Michalka, Alyson Stoner, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, and Jesse McCartney; and "Mommy I Didn't Do It" starring Danica McKellar, Jonathan Bennett, and Jen Lilley.
Richard’s western, "Justice," starring Nathan Parsons, Stephen Lang, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Jackson Rathbone, and Ellen Holman, was picked up by Universal for both theatrical and digital release.
He recently directed two films for The Hallmark Channel: "A Gingerbread Romance," starring Tia Mowry and Duane Henry, and "A Feeling of Home," featuring Nathan Parsons, Jonna Walsh, and Robbie Benson.
In 2020, Richard received an Emmy nomination as a producer on the popular Amazon series "The Bay."
Additionally, he produced Steve Boyum’s Fox feature "Supercross" and the 2010 Toronto Discovery Award-winning film "Beautiful Boy," starring Michael Sheen and Maria Bello.
A USC graduate, Richard resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
