Biographie
Chris Jorie has just completed writing the streaming family drama series, Heaven Above Earth Below, where he is Executive Producer. He will be Directing the upcoming romantic comedy, The Book Writer, with a screenplay by award winning writer, Kris Vosler. He also stars in the upcoming feature drama, Death to Pushkin for Jump Room Films, now in post. On stage he appeared in the World Premieres of Dennis McIntyre's, Modigliani; David Lemos's, Remember My Name and Mary Kathryn Nagle's, Fairly Traceable with Native Voices LA, in Off-Broadway and Equity Regional Theatre. A producer, writer, director and actor, Chris has collaborated with Tony and Emmy Award winning director, Thomas Kail and Academy and Emmy Nominated Actress/Producer, Mary McDonnell. He has also worked with Academy Award winner, Robert Downey Jr in True Believer; Oscar Nominee, Ryan Gosling, MMC; Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee, Keri Russell, MMC; Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Samuel L. Jackson and Stanley Tucci, in Captain America, First Avenger; Academy Award Winners, Christine Lahti, Leonardo DiCaprio, Judy Dench, Clint Eastwood, George C Scott. and Oscar Nominees Laurie Metcalf and Kristen Stewart. Other collaborators include, Producer, Susan Feiles, HBO's Perry Mason; Directors, Kenny Ortega, Pamela Fryman and Allison Liddi Brown - as well as actors Sarah Silverman, Jon Hamm, Tony Danza, Tim Daly, Robert Guilluame, Garry Marshall, Laura San Giacomo, Tony Award Winner, Judith Ivey and Asher Grodman from CBS Ghosts. As an award winning Stage Director, Chris has directed plays Off-Broadway and numerous regional premieres direct from their Broadway and Off Broadway runs. Best Production Awards include Boston's 'Ellie Award' for Athol Fugard's, Exits and Entrances; Central Florida's 'Lillie Stoates Award' for Margret Edson's, Wit; and recognition from the Drama League, NY in their New Directors/New Works Program for his original plays, I Touch The Future and The Real Me. Additional Awards include The George Heller Scholarship from Aftra and recipient of the first Revels/Cambridge Directing Fellow. A Nationally recognized Acting Coach, Chris has worked on productions for Warner Bros, Paramount, Disney, Buena Vista TV, CBS, ABC and PBS.
