Biographie
Hana Mae Lee is a multi-talented award-winning actress, fashion designer, musician, artist, writer, filmmaker, and makeup artist.
She launched her career starring in commercials such as the Cannes Lions and ANDY award-winning "It Must Be Love" (also known as "Best Friends (Cars/People)") for Honda, and appeared in music videos like the Grammy-nominated "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. Her television appearances include roles in the multi-Emmy-winning series "Mike & Molly," Golden Globe-winning "Californication," Golden Globe-nominated "Better Things," Critics Choice-nominated "Patriot," the critically acclaimed neo-noir series "Perpetual Grace, Ltd.," among others. Her film work features the hugely successful "Pitch Perfect" franchise, which earned her a Scene Stealer nomination, followed by its two sequels. She also starred in McG's horror-comedy "The Babysitter" and its sequel, "The Babysitter: Killer Queen." Her editorial work includes features in Vogue Korea, Wonderland, Schön, and more.
A graduate of Otis College of Art and Design with a BFA in fashion design, Hana Mae has collaborated with numerous design houses and worked as an image and style consultant before launching her own brand, Hanamahn ("just one" in Korean). Her unique Hanamahn pieces are worn by collectors, musicians, creatives, and actors alike.
Hana Mae recently completed producing her first feature, "Hot God On A Stick," a hybrid documentary about contemporary Los Angeles artists, conceived and directed by magician/artist Anton Levine. She also wrapped filming "Boris Is Dead," a dark comedy thriller directed by James Cullen Bressack, starring opposite Dane Cook. Currently, she appears in "Abruptio," a horror-puppet film by Evan Marlowe, sharing the screen with James Marsters, Christopher McDonald, Robert Englund, Jordan Peele, and Sid Haig.
After three years of collaboration, Hana Mae has joined forces with electro performance artist Mark Mallory to form Grave Condition, a melancholic project built around haunting gothic soundscapes. Their chilling debut album, "Atmospheric Paradigm," is now available on all streaming platforms.
