Biographie
Heather Tom, a five-time Emmy Award winner, has portrayed Katie Logan on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful since 2007. Over the past three years, she has directed nearly 20 episodes of the show. In 2018, she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team.
In 2013, Variety recognized Heather as one of its "Daytime TV Impact Honorees," celebrating innovators in daytime television. Among 30 nominees spanning various roles such as network executives, producers, and news anchors, Heather was the sole actor honored.
As a film director, her acclaimed short films Serenity (2017) and Bigfoot's Love Slave (2017) have been showcased at numerous international festivals, including Festival de Cannes, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Cinequest, Vail, Cleveland, Florida, Omaha, Boston, LA Shorts Fest, HollyShorts, LA Comedy Festival, Canberra, and Pittsburgh.
Heather has also appeared on ABC's The Young and the Restless, performed on Broadway, and co-hosted The View alongside Barbara Walters, Entertainment Tonight, and The Talk. She made five appearances on Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher and frequently contributed to MSNBC and Fox News as a women's health advocate. Heather participated in the 2008 presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and supports organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Feminist Majority, She Votes, and Rock the Vote.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, James, and their two dogs, Henry and Ella. In 2012, they welcomed their son, Zane, their greatest production to date. Heather is also a proud member of the Directors Guild of America.
