Biographie
Barbara Enrichi was born in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, a small town in the heart of the Chianti region near Florence. Her artistic education played a crucial role in shaping her career path; after graduating from the State Art School in Florence, she established a Graphic Studio, which she continues to manage. The artistic foundation Barbara received inspired her to expand her creative pursuits into other fields. She participated in all the Theatre Workshops led by Ugo Chiti in Tavarnelle, acting for 14 years in nearly all the productions by the Arca Azzurra Theatre Company. Notable performances include "Allegretto perbene ... ma non troppo," "La Provincia di Jimmy," and "Paesaggio con figure." She also appeared in "Gianburrasca (un monello in casa Stoppani)," directed by Angelo Savelli at the Rifredi Theatre. Her film debut occurred in 1990 when Alessandro Benvenuti spotted her in a play and invited her to appear in "Benvenuti in Casa Gori." In 1991, she worked with Francesco Nuti in "Donne con le Gonne." After a break focusing exclusively on theatre, Leonardo Pieraccioni offered her a small role in "I Laureati," beginning a creative collaboration. This partnership led to her inclusion in the cast of "Il Ciclone" (1996), a major hit, and "Fuochi d'Artificio" (1997). In "Il Ciclone," Barbara portrayed a challenging role that showcased her talent, earning her the "David di Donatello" award for Best Supporting Actress and bringing her widespread recognition. That same year, she acted alongside Ugo Chiti in "Albergo Roma," which premiered successfully at the 53rd Venice Film Festival, and appeared in Alessandro Benvenuti's "Ritorno a Casa Gori." While comic roles brought her popular acclaim, Barbara Enrichi also embraces dramatic parts, such as those she performed in theatre over many years, and in the film "Prima la musica ...poi le parole" by Fulvio Wetzl (1998), praised for its excellent screenplay. In 1998, she appeared in two comedies: "I Volontari" by Domenico Costanzo, and "Donne in Bianco" by Tonino Pulci, where she played a leading role in a story about three women. Early in 1999, she ventured into television with "Ciro," an 11-episode comedy series on Italia 1, created by Lucio Pellegrini. Subsequently, she starred in "Il Cielo cade," directed by Tuscan brothers Antonio and Andrea Frazzi, delivering one of the most powerful performances of her career. She planned a return to theatre in winter 1999/2000 with "Contorno e la prontezza di Rosina," written and directed by Alessandro Benvenuti, acting alongside Stefano Bicocchi (known as Vito).
