Biographie
Harris Goldberg was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on November 17, 1972. He began performing stand-up comedy at the age of sixteen. His older brother, Daniel Goldberg, wrote and produced hit films such as "Stripes" and "Meatballs." Daniel later produced "Junior," "Road Trip," and the upcoming "Old School" for DreamWorks. Harris followed him to Los Angeles, where he sold his first screenplay within a week and signed with William Morris the following week. After working on twenty-five studio films, he achieved his biggest success with "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" (1999). His next film, "The Master of Disguise" (2002), starring Dana Carvey and produced by Adam Sandler, is set for release in May. Harris also hosted the Montreal Comedy Festival in 1998.
He went on to direct "Where's Angelo," featuring Michael Madsen, Beverly D'Angelo, and Robert Forster, which premiered at the Hollywood and Santa Barbara Film Festivals. Harris wrote and directed the autobiographical film "Numb," his directorial feature debut. Starring Matthew Perry, Mary Steenburgen, Kevin Pollak, and Lynn Collins, it recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and won Best Feature Audience Awards in Chicago and at the Ojai Film Festival.
Harris and Rob Schneider made a memorable appearance on Conan O'Brien's 5th anniversary show, performing their "Blue Man Ass Group" act.
Goldberg also ventured into television, writing pilots for HBO, NBC, ABC, TNT, and USA Network.
He is about to begin production on his next feature film.
