Born and raised in Springfield, MA, he began acting in college as a way to overcome his stammering, which disappeared whenever he was on stage. He spent several years performing in college productions before moving between Boston, London, and NYC, acting in plays by William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Christopher Hampton, and David Simpatico, across musicals, comedies, and dramas. In 1991, he married his wife Kim Fitzgerald (born Kimberley Ann Fitzgerald), and they have two sons, Liam and Finn. He has lived in Los Angeles for the past 18 years and has had the privilege of working with notable talents such as Valerie Bertinelli, William Schallert, Eva Longoria, Betty White, Miranda Cosgrove, Don Johnson, Ricardo Chavira, Jay Baruchel, Charlie Sheen, James Spader, Robert Urich, Eric Braeden, and Mary McDonnell.
