Biographie
Originally from Toronto, Canada, award-winning actor and voice actor Michael Beattie is based in Los Angeles and has over 25 years of experience in film, television, radio, theatre, audiobook narration, as well as television and feature animation. He provided the voice for the 2nd (Skinny) Marketing Guy in Universal Pictures' Dr. Seuss's The Lorax (Summer 2012) and voiced the villainous Scottish henchcat "Angus MacDoughall" in Warner Brothers' Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Mr. Beattie has voiced series regular roles in animated series such as Conan the Adventurer (Needle), T-Rex (Buck, Delaney), King Arthur and the Knights of Justice (Trunk, Gallop, Zeke), Beverly Hills Teens (Buck Huckster, Wilshire Brentwood), Care Bears: The Nutcracker Suite (Nutcracker), Robocop (Wheels Wilson), and As Told By Ginger (Principal Erickson), among others. His video game voice credits include the critically acclaimed and award-winning role of Alien Professor Mordin Solus in EA/Bioware's Mass Effect 2, Blade Wolf (IF Prototype LQ-84i) in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Russell in Dishonored, Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, Herman Schultz/Shocker in Spider-Man: The Movie and Spider-Man 2, as well as roles in Company of Heroes, The Sopranos: Road to Respect, Titan Quest, Pitfall: The Lost Expedition, Neopets, Dragon Age: Origins, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. On camera, he has starred in leading roles in two Guy Ritchie-directed films: Swept Away (2002) and Star, part of the BMW internet film series The Driver (2001). He is also the founder of tomsawyeraudio.com, a web-based company providing unabridged classic children's audiobooks to schools, libraries, and the general public.
