Biographie
Jed Bernard is an American actor known for portraying tough, driven characters with a grounded physical presence and emotional intensity. Based in Los Angeles, Bernard has built a career playing law enforcement officers, soldiers, and conflicted authority figures across film and television.
He appeared in the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning drama Clemency opposite Academy Award nominee Alfre Woodard, as well as Aldis Hodge, Richard Schiff, and Michael O'Neil, portraying a Death Watch Officer in the powerful prison drama. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received widespread critical acclaim.
Bernard’s television work includes roles in series such as Criminal Minds, Castle, Southland, 24, Glee, and The Event. Known for bringing authenticity and intensity to his performances, he has frequently portrayed characters operating in high-stakes environments where discipline, courage, and moral conflict collide. He has also been the Cover Solider on Medal of Honor: Heroes, Call of Duty 3, Medal of Honor Heroes 2; and portrayed Simon Krieger in the Sony PS4/5 Game SPIDER-MAN: Miles Morales (2020)
In addition to acting, Bernard produced and starred in the award-winning series Dying for a Living, further expanding his work behind the camera as a storyteller and creative collaborator, utilizing his Martial Arts and Stunt training as well on screen.
Outside of film and television, Bernard is also the author of the children’s book Jeddy’s Teddy: A True Story of a Boy and His Teddy Bear, demonstrating a creative range that spans both dramatic and heartfelt storytelling. Raised in California and internationally educated, Bernard speaks several languages including English, Spanish, Dutch, and German. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Chico.
