Biography

Derek Stusynski grew up on a farm in Karlstad, MN, where he developed a passion for acting during middle school. He took on diverse roles in thirteen plays, including the lead in "Peter Pan," the Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz," and a young pyromaniac in "Juvie." Upon graduating high school, he moved to New York after earning a Meisner Merit Scholarship to attend The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

Following graduation, Derek actively participated in the New York film and television scene. His notable work includes "Path to Prologue," which won three awards at the American International Film Festival and was featured at the Hoboken International Film Festival. He also starred in the acclaimed web series "The RAs."

After relocating to Los Angeles, Derek immersed himself in the improv community. A graduate of UCB, he joined the improv group Thoughts and Prayers, which achieved 14 consecutive wins at The Deathmatch show and continues to perform across various LA venues.

Writing has long been a passion for Derek, beginning with his first book at age 12, which he hopes to expand into a fantasy series. He also wrote and produced the series "The Walking Tedd," successfully raising $16,000 on Kickstarter. Currently, he is developing several feature films, including the script for his debut horror movie.
