Biography
Jesús del Cerro, born in Madrid, Spain, is a writer, producer, and director. He began his career working on popular Spanish TV series such as "Medico de Familia," "Policias," "Compañeros," and "Un Paso Adelante," the latter being a major international success, sold to over 70 countries including Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands. In 2008, Jesús directed his first feature film, "Carlitos and the Chance of a Lifetime," which performed well at the Spanish box office and won more than 20 awards at international film festivals, including the Giffoni Film Festival. Starting in 2009, he worked in Romania, where he directed eight feature films and the documentary "Pregnant in Romania." In 2011, he received the Gopo Award for the most successful Romanian film of the year with "Nasa." In November 2017, he released his latest movie, "Hawaii," starring Dragos Bucur and Cristina Flutur. In 2018, he debuted his first American film, "Attraction," shot in Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, and Paris, featuring Chris Atkins, Tara Reid, and Dina de Laurentiis. Currently, he is working on the animated film "First Goal," scheduled for release in 2019.
