Biography
Nikki Martin, a Southern California native, is a TV actor, chef, and lifestyle speaker. She has collaborated with renowned chefs such as Michael Voltaggio, winner of Top Chef (2006), Bobby Flay, Jean-Georges, and Scott Conant.
Born in Long Beach, California, Nikki has always been passionate about acting on stage. Her great uncle, Lou Frizzell, was famous for his role as "Dusty Rhodes" on the popular series Bonanza (1959) and appeared in over 30 films during the 1960s and 1970s.
Nikki graduated from Aliso Niguel High School in Orange County, CA, where she was a national champion cheerleader on a co-ed team for more than four years and has been involved in the arts since age 13. Her first stage performance was in a high school production of the classic musical The Threepenny Opera, followed by roles in Steel Magnolias as Shelby, and Grease. She has studied dance, particularly jazz and hip-hop, for over a decade.
After graduating a year early, Nikki moved to Los Angeles and is currently attending college part-time, majoring in psychology.
Recently, Nikki has appeared on QVC, HGTV, and other channels as a celebrity spokesperson for the FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer. She has also been featured on the Food Network, cooking on various shows including 24 Hour Restaurant Battle (2010) and as a finalist on Team Bobby during season 8 of The Next Food Network Star (2005).
Known as the "grill next door," Miss Martin has established herself as an expert in outdoor entertaining. Over the past year, she has traveled across the country exploring culinary and beverage delights while working on her globally inspired editorial cookbook and TV show.
