Biography
Olga Vodin, born Olga Nedovodina on November 23, 1972, in Krasnodar, southern Russia, grew up in a family connected to the arts; her father was a lead ballet dancer at the Krasnodar Theater of Operetta. From a young age, she trained in ballet, acting, and piano. During the 1990s, she studied acting at the Shchukin Theatrical School, affiliated with Moscow's Vakhtangov Theater, where she honed techniques from Stanislavsky, Chekhov, and Vakhtangov. She earned her Master's Degree in Theater and Acting in 1993. While studying in Moscow, Olga performed on stage and appeared in several Russian films, including Dukhi ada (1992) ("Spirits of Hell"), Svobodnaya zone (1991) ("Zone of Freedom"), Vashi paltsy pakhnut ladanom! (1993) ("Your Fingers Smell Like Incense"), and Nastya (1994). In 1993, she emigrated to California with her American husband, adopting the stage name Olga Vodina, and continued her acting career while raising her first child. Her American credits include American Cop (1995), Dangerous Cargo (1996), Swimsuit: The Movie (1997), and a guest role on the TV series Marker (1995). In the 2000s, she transitioned from acting to co-producing several stage productions, including one in St. Petersburg, Russia. Olga has two children from her first marriage, which ended in divorce, and one child from her second marriage. She currently resides with her second husband in Puget Sound, Washington, USA.
