Biography
Loren Lester, originally from Los Angeles, launched his career as a teenager and has amassed over 30 years of experience in film, stage, and television. Early in his career, he portrayed the villainous hall monitor "Fritz Hansel" in the cult classic Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979) and had a recurring role as "Roy" on The Facts of Life (1979) alongside Nancy McKeon for five seasons. Since then, Loren has appeared in over 200 episodes of various TV series, including Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), The Closer (2005), Undercovers (2010), Greek (2007), Cold Case (2003), Criminal Minds (2005), Castle (2009), Two and a Half Men (2003), Notes from the Underbelly (2007) directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, Side Order of Life (2007) directed by David Paymer, and Las Vegas (2003) directed by Timothy Busfield. Currently, he has recurring roles on HBO’s comedy series Hung (2009), directed by Academy Award winner Alexander Payne, and the Nickelodeon show Victorious (2010). His recent film work includes The Green Hornet (2011) starring Seth Rogen and directed by Michel Gondry, Hit List (2014) starring Joseph Lawrence, and After the Wizard, a modern sequel to The Wizard of Oz (1939). Other notable films include 17 Again (2009) with Zac Efron and Matthew Perry, Wes Craven’s thriller Red Eye (2005) starring Rachel McAdams, and Midnight Clear (2006) starring Stephen Baldwin. As a voice actor, Loren is best known for originating the roles of "Robin" and "Nightwing" in Batman: The Animated Series (1992) and The New Batman Adventures (1997). His voice work extends to hundreds of TV and radio commercials, and he has been praised for narrating audiobooks such as Midnight Clear, Girl in Hyacinth Blue, In-N-Out Burger, and The Upside of Turbulence. A graduate of Occidental College’s theater department, Loren has also starred in numerous plays and musicals.
