Biography
Peter Austin Noto, one of film's most enduring performers, began his career in the 1980s on New York TV soap operas and has remained a consistent presence ever since.
Born on July 30, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian-Russian American parents Olga (Wanat) and Anthony Noto, he grew up in a loving family.
In 1986, Austin Noto declined an offer from the prestigious Actors Studio, believing its methods would limit his natural talent—and he proved to be right.
From 1986 to 2012, he worked on all six New York soap operas.
During the 1990s, Peter toured worldwide with the Radio City Music Hall production Jesus Was His Name. In between tours, he created the TV pilot Pete and Dave in Show Business, collaborating with legendary song-and-dance man David Giardina.
In 1996, Peter gained national recognition playing The Time Warner Cable Thief, which opened many doors.
That same year, he began working on Saturday Night Live; after 87 episodes, the collaboration continues to this day.
By 2000, Peter had appeared in shows such as Strangers with Candy, The Chris Rock Show, The Sopranos, Flight of the Conchords, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, among others.
His film credits include Uncle Melvin's Apartment (2013), Girl Most Likely (2012), The Sisters (2005), Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), and Cast Away (2000).
In 2016, he co-created the TV series Cyber Entertainment with Jennifer, which is currently in development.
Since 2012, The Peter Austin Noto Show has been a television staple, airing 106 episodes and counting, with national syndication on the horizon.
