Biography
Michael Tadross is an American producer, director, and occasional actor who has been a prominent figure in the film industry for over three decades.
He has produced several Warner Bros. films, including Sherlock Holmes, Run All Night, Cop Out, Winter's Tale, Arthur, and I Am Legend—one of the most expensive science fiction movies ever filmed entirely in New York City. Earlier in his career with Warner Bros., he produced The Devil's Advocate, Jack Frost, and Eraser.
His production credits also feature Hitch, Basic, Rollerball, The Thomas Crown Affair, Indecent Proposal, School Ties, Brenda Starr, and Die Hard: With A Vengeance, which was the highest-grossing worldwide film of 1995.
Tadross served as Unit Production Manager on Ghost, Coming To America, Black Rain, Trading Places, and Death Wish III, and worked as First Assistant Director on films such as Cocktail and Masquerade. Additionally, he has earned one gold and two platinum records.
Beginning his career as a camera trainee and assistant film editor, he is now a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He also held the position of Executive Vice President of Feature Production at Paramount Pictures.
He received a nomination for the NAACP Image Award and won The Movie Guide Award for Best Family-Oriented Film in 2006 for Hitch. Tadross is also listed in Who's Who of Executives and Professionals.
