Born in Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan, Atif Aslam is a renowned Pakistani film director. He received his education in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Collaborating with a fellow musician, Atif recorded the song Aadat, which gained immense popularity on different musical websites and was frequently played on Pakistani radio stations FM100 and FM105. The music video for Aadat was also shot in a warehouse in Karachi. After parting ways with Jal due to personal conflicts, Atif began his solo career. His captivating vocals eventually reached Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt, who sought his permission to feature "Woh Lamhey" in the soundtrack of his film, Zeher. From there onwards, Atif Aslam's music gained immense popularity across the subcontinent and is played on numerous radio stations today.
