May 12th, 2023Celebrate Great Performances' 50th anniversary with a thrilling revue of iconic Broadway productions spanning from 1973 to 2023. Featuring the works of renowned composers, such as Stephen Schwartz, Kander and Ebb, Fats Waller, Stephen Sondheim, Duke Ellington, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, hosted by Sutton Foster, a two-time Tony winner. From the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, Tony winner Warren Carlyle directs and choreographs the musical celebration, with Patrick Vaccariallo as music director. The show highlights the evolution of contemporary Broadway, with Corbin Bleu performing a tap number from Jelly's Last Jam and Donna McKechnie paying tribute to "A Chorus Line" alongside Robyn Hurder. André De Shields performs "So You Wanted to See The Wizard," Chita Rivera singing her signature song "All That Jazz" from Chicago, and Sara Bareilles singing "She Used to Be Mine." Additional stars include Shoshana Bean, Raúl Esparza, James Monroe Iglehart, Ledisi, Norm Lewis, Rob McClure, Patina Miller, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jessie Mueller, Mamie Parris, Solea Pfeiffer, Britton Smith, Jessica Vosk, and Vanessa Williams.
