Farah, a 28-year-old woman from Iran, fled to France six years ago but was forced to stop in Istanbul when she discovered she was pregnant. She has since been living as a fugitive in Istanbul, where her son, Kerimşah, who has a rare disease that weakens his immune system, has to live in a sterile environment to stay healthy. Despite her medical education, Farah has been forced to work as an illegal cleaner to make ends meet. Her ultimate goal is to save enough money to complete Kerimşah's treatment so he can live a normal life and return to France.
