Michael Webber is an American film producer and director who has created numerous movies for major studios including 20th Century Fox and Lionsgate. He is also an acclaimed documentary filmmaker, with his film The Elephant in the Living Room receiving high praise from leading critics, winning five Best Documentary Awards, and debuting as the top independent film in the U.S.
His 2022 investigative documentary, The Conservation Game, made a significant impact upon its U.S. premiere, earning both a Social Justice Award and Best Director Award. Produced over four years, the film exposed issues in the animal entertainment industry and is credited with the rapid downfall of several prominent celebrity conservationists, notably Jack Hanna and his renowned Columbus Zoo.
Michael has appeared as a guest on numerous television and radio programs, including NPR, The Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, NBC Nightly News, and Nightline. His investigative work was also featured in an ABC 20/20 special hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Jay Schradler.
