Biografía
Ellen Fontana (also known as Erwin) was raised in a small coastal town near Boston, Massachusetts, before moving west to California. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of California, Davis. Over the last two decades, she has held various roles in the film industry, developing, writing, and producing a diverse array of feature films and television projects. Recently, Ellen collaborated with acclaimed Australian writer Tim Winton to adapt his celebrated novel, Cloudstreet (2011), into a six-hour mini-series that aired on Australian pay-TV from May to June 2011. Ellen and Tim Winton received an AACTA nomination for Best Screenplay in Television for Part 3 of Cloudstreet (2011), and their published screenplay, "Cloudstreet: the Screenplay" (Penguin), won the 2011 Western Australian Premier's Book Prize, Scripts Award (announced September 17, 2012).
Ellen is a New York Times bestselling co-author of the biography "The Audrey Hepburn Treasures." Her latest publication, "Audrey 100," featuring a selection of 100 photographs chosen by Audrey Hepburn's family, was released in November 2010. She also contributed to the cult classic companion book, What the #$*! Do We (K)now!? (2004), and edited "Dr. Quantum in The Grandfather Paradox," part of a children's book series on quantum physics. Ellen Fontana lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, Italian artist Enzo Fontana, and their daughter, Zoe-Ruth Erwin.
