Biografía
Michael Selditch is an acclaimed executive producer, showrunner, director, and creator with extensive expertise in unscripted and documentary television. Throughout his career, he has overseen creation, production, development, and post-production, leading teams to craft engaging stories, deliver acclaimed projects, and implement best practices in storytelling, budget management, and operational efficiency.
Selditch has been instrumental in developing and producing numerous successful series for major networks including CNN, NBC, HBO, MTV, FX, Netflix, Sundance Channel, Bravo, Lifetime, Discovery, TLC, and PBS. He has collaborated with renowned production companies like Zero Point Zero and Scout Productions, driving content creation and series development. Over his career, he has executive produced and/or directed more than 20 television series, earning two Emmy nominations and winning the International Documentary Association (IDA) Award for Best Limited Series for Architecture School on the Sundance Channel.
A native of Philadelphia, Selditch earned a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and was a licensed architect in New York before shifting to film and television. He also taught architectural design at Woodbury University in Los Angeles and Pratt Institute in New York. His transition from architecture to television began in the 1990s with set design for theater and independent film, eventually evolving into writing, directing, producing, and a successful career in television and film.
