Max Benator is an award-winning producer and entertainment entrepreneur, currently serving as CEO of Mirus Content Works, a company that develops, incubates, and advises businesses at the intersection of content and commerce.
He played a key role in founding Doing Things Media, helping it grow into one of the fastest expanding Instagram networks, boasting over 60 million followers and more than 500 million monthly views.
Max is also a partner in Cartuna, a Sundance Award-winning animation studio based in Brooklyn. In 2019, Cartuna was nominated for the Annie Award for Best Television Production for its animated series Human Kind Of. The studio’s partners and clients include NBCUniversal, Comedy Central, HBO, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Desus & Mero on Showtime, and others.
With over 100 episodes of television and digital content produced, Max has served as Executive Producer on Nat Geo WILD’s Howie Mandel's Animals Doing Things. In film, he was Executive Producer on The Chosen, which reached #1 on iTunes, and Rock Steady Row, winner of both top Grand Jury prizes at the 2018 Slamdance Film Festival.
In 2014, Max founded the entertainment studio Supergravity to create, produce, and distribute filmed content for digital platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube. Supergravity achieved multiple #1 iTunes hits, including the acclaimed Australian documentary Gayby Baby, before being acquired by AT&T’s Otter Media in 2017.
A frequent public speaker, Max has delivered keynotes at VidCon and appeared at SXSW, Comic-Con, and NATPE. Early in his career, The Hollywood Reporter named him one of the 50 Most Powerful Executives in Digital Entertainment.
