Bobbie Eakes, an international television star and recording artist, is best known for her two-time Emmy and Soap Opera Digest Awards-nominated portrayal of Krystal Carey on the iconic ABC daytime drama All My Children. She first gained widespread fame as Macy Alexander on CBS's The Bold and The Beautiful, one of the world's most-watched and syndicated series, earning three Soap Opera Digest Awards nominations for the role.
Born in Warner Robins, Georgia, as the youngest of five daughters to Air Force veterans, her family frequently relocated due to her father's military service. She attended Department of Defense Schools in various locations, including Florida and the United Kingdom, before settling back in Warner Robins after her father's retirement.
This Southern Belle’s passion for the performing arts surfaced in high school, where at 16 she excelled in musicals and became a soloist with the United States Air Force Reserve Band. She continued her education at the University of Georgia, majoring in journalism, won the title of Miss Georgia, and placed in the top 10 at the Miss America Pageant. During this time, Eakes attracted the attention of Hollywood producers and casting directors, leading to her television debut on the final episode of the popular sitcom Laverne & Shirley. After obtaining her SAG card and moving to Los Angeles, she appeared in commercials and guest-starred on numerous hit shows, including Cheers, Full House, and JAG. More recently, she held a recurring role on the critically acclaimed streaming series George & Tammy.
As a young musician, Eakes performed with cover bands and was a member of the all-female rock band Big Trouble, featured on the syndicated sketch comedy series Comedy Break. Produced by multiple Grammy and Oscar-winning producer Giorgio Moroder, the band was signed to Epic Records, released a self-titled album, and enjoyed success with singles performed at major festivals. Later, she teamed up with her The Bold and The Beautiful co-star Jeff Trachta, and together they achieved double platinum sales on two CDs for the European label Arcade Records. She then signed with Sony Music Nashville and recorded "Loving This Way," a duet with country star Collin Raye. Always exploring new musical styles, Eakes also recorded a smooth jazz album while working in New York. She divides her time between California and Georgia, where she lives with her husband of many years, actor and writer David Steen.
