Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi is renowned for her work as a Victoria's Secret lingerie model and a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. She participated in six Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007, and appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue four times between 2005 and 2008.
Onweagba has walked the runway for designers such as Christian Dior, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and John Galliano. She has featured in campaigns for brands including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Express, Gap, Gianfranco Ferré, and Victoria's Secret. She has graced the covers and pages of numerous international fashion magazines, including Elle, Arise, Pop Vogue, Vanity Fair, V, W, Marie Claire, and Allure. Notably, she is one of the pioneering African faces in the modeling industry and stands out as one of the tallest models at 6 feet tall. In 2008, she launched her own modeling agency in South Africa and serves as the host and head judge of Africa's Next Top Model.
Born on August 1, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria, Onweagba was discovered after winning the inaugural Face of Africa competition in 1998, an opportunity she pursued at the encouragement of a family friend. In August 2005, she married fashion designer Luca Orlandi, and together they have a son named Ugochukwu.
