Biografía
Lennart Alexander Betzgen is a multi-talented actor from Berlin, Germany. He began his career at the age of three with a role in the children's series "Anja and Anton." By four, he landed his first speaking part on German television in "Für alle Fälle Stefanie," launching his journey into film. Since then, he has displayed his skills in numerous TV shows and movies, fluent in German, English, and French.
His film debut came with the historical movie "Die Entdeckung der Currywurst," adapted from Uwe Timm's novel. He later appeared in the award-winning "Stronger than Blood" and starred alongside Daniel Brühl in "Lessons of a Dream." His filmography also includes Philipp Kadelbach's "So viel Zeit" and the comedy "Verrückt nach Fixi." In 2023, he featured in the French film "Les Prodigieuses," directed by Frédéric and Valentin Potier.
During his Junior Year of High School, Lennart studied in the United States, broadening his international experience. He has acted in English-language projects such as the American film "Perfect Hideout" with Billy Zane and the Australian-German TV series "In Your Dreams 2."
Since 2007, Lennart has been training at Theaterschule Berlin under Anette Schreiber, honing his craft and deepening his passion for acting. He regularly performs in plays by William Shakespeare, Frank Wedekind, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, among others. His education is further enriched by acting coaching, dance and movement lessons with Daniela Jordan from Berlin University of the Arts, singing and voice training with Ron Randolf, and piano lessons. He also participates in acting workshops and seminars to expand his artistic skills.
After earning his German Abitur, Lennart completed a Master of Science degree at university. Despite his academic success, his primary focus remains acting. He also spent six months living in Belgium during his studies.
On television, Lennart has made a significant impact with roles in German crime series like "Der Alte" and "Der Kriminalist." Since 2014, he has appeared in four seasons of the popular prime-time series "Tierärztin Dr. Mertens." He also gained widespread recognition for his roles in the 90-minute special "Der Bergdoktor" and the RTL comedy series "Der Lehrer," with his debut episode becoming the series’ most successful to date.
In 2020, Lennart earned acclaim for leading roles in the 90-minute film "Katie Fforde - Emmas Geheimnis," where he portrayed a talented pianist, and the series "Verbotene Liebe - Next Generation" on RTL+, playing Paul Verhoven, a character exploring self-discovery through a world of parties and ecstasy.
Beyond film and television, Lennart has worked as a voice actor and model. His distinctive voice has featured in commercials for brands like "Fanta" and "Coca Cola." Additionally, luxury retailer mientus. has repeatedly chosen him to model collections from high-end designers including "Gucci," "DSQUARED2," and "Dolce & Gabbana.
