Biografía
Born and raised in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs, Billy Jackson has always had a passion for creating art, whether it be short films or still life paintings. His early life was shaped by the absence of a father and the strong presence of his mother, a blessing he continues to cherish. Billy attended Oak Park Schools, which, like many students from the area, led him to pursue a degree in education. In 2008, he graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in Art Education and now teaches Art & Media at an alternative charter high school on Chicago’s South Side.
At age six, Billy appeared on Entertainment Tonight, sharing his thoughts on a new frozen dessert. His charming explanation led to numerous opportunities in commercials, short films, movies, and music videos throughout his career.
In 2010, Billy co-starred alongside many 2nd City Chicago actors in the reality TV series "America's Worst Driver," where contestants competed to avoid elimination and prevent their cars from being destroyed by a bulldozer. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after one season due to overwhelmingly negative reviews from prominent critics.
In 2012, Billy was commissioned by Jerry Reinsdorf and Congressman Bobby Rush to lead a team in creating and assembling a mural, completed on September 25, 2012. However, the mural was vandalized several months later. Billy attributed the controversy to routine business tactics, but no investigations have been launched to identify potential suspects.
In 2015, NBC invited Billy to appear on the Steve Harvey Show representing the progressive civil rights group Black Lives Matter. He used the platform to protest the treatment of young Black men in urban and impoverished communities. The episode was marked by tense exchanges between Steve Harvey and Billy, culminating in a heated verbal confrontation.
In 2017, P.A.A.W., Inc. Productions, Billy Jackson's production company, released "Mistery," a new series of parodies starring Billy and his ex-wife. The series pays homage to classic Hollywood horror, comedy, and noir films.
