Biografía
She was raised by her grandmother Elisabeth in Vienna. Her mother, Hannelore, was an actress, and her father, Sammy Ammissah, worked as a mechanical engineer. After completing high school, Kiesbauer pursued studies in journalism and theater. Her diploma thesis explored "The historical novel of Thomas Becket in the theater of Jean Anouilh, T. S. Eliot, and Christopher Fry." While still a student, Kiesbauer gained her first experience in television, hosting the ORF youth magazine "X-Large" from 1989 to 1993 and the 3sat city series "Inter-City" from 1990 to 1991. In 1991, she began her career in Munich at the private broadcaster ProSieben.
There, she appeared as the presenter of the TV magazine "Rund um Hollywood." Following several successful projects, she launched her own talk show on ProSieben in 1994 titled "Arabella." Modeled after American formats, she engaged guests in discussions about everyday and controversial subjects. Within months, Kiesbauer became one of the most popular TV presenters in Germany. In her first year, she received the Bavarian Television Prize as "Best Talk Newcomer." In 1996, she was honored with the media award "The Golden Cable" from the program magazine "Gong." That same year, she made her acting debut in a supporting role in the film "Das Superweib."
In 2002 and 2003, Kiesbauer hosted the ORF music event "Starmania" on Austrian television. On June 4, 2004, after a decade of "Arabella," her final talk show aired on ProSieben. Since then, she has continued to work as a presenter, including for ORF in Vienna. After a few episodes of the political talk show "Arabella Kiesbauer - Talk without a show" on the news channel N24, the program was taken over by presenter Bärbel Schäfer in January 2007. In December 2004, Kiesbauer married Viennese entrepreneur Florens Eblinger. Their daughter was born in Vienna on December 2, 2007.
