Biografía
Jerry Rector was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in the Detroit suburbs, where he participated in various sports such as water skiing, dirt bike riding, and scuba diving. After relocating to Los Angeles during high school, Jerry launched his professional career as an actor and musician. In addition to acting in Hollywood, he has lived and worked in New York City, Vancouver, and Toronto, Canada, where he obtained dual Canadian citizenship. It was in Canada that he began his filmmaking career as a writer, director, and producer. Internationally, Jerry worked in Hong Kong alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in "Double Impact" and in South Korea opposite Lee Byung-Hun (The Magnificent 7, Terminator Genisys) in "The Man Standing Next." He is proud to have shared the screen with notable actors such as Patrick Stewart, Cardi B, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, John Rhys-Davies, Nicolas Cage, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jennifer Beals, Harvey Keitel, Rod Steiger, and Cheech Marin, among others. As a drummer, percussionist, and singer, Jerry has had the privilege of performing with music legends including singer Chaka Khan, guitarist Robbie Krieger (The Doors), keyboardist Patrick Moraz (Yes), drummer Vinnie Appice (Black Sabbath/Dio), saxophonist Sal Marquez (Frank Zappa/Dave Grusin), Grammy-winning guitarist Olivier Scoazec (Buckwheat Zydeco), and guitar virtuoso Del Casher (Elvis Presley), also known as "Papa Wah Wah," a nickname honoring his invention of the "Wah Wah" pedal.
