Biografía
Paul Wagner is an Emmy Award-winning CEO and co-founder of GabCast.TV, an innovative online platform enabling users to broadcast multi-person live shows. With 10 years of experience in the interactive media space, he co-founded GabCast.TV alongside industry veteran Fred Silverman, with guidance from advisors Michael Eisner (Disney) and Lloyd Braun (Lost, Sopranos).
Wagner secured a multi-million dollar content distribution deal between Will Ferrell's FunnyOrDie.com and Babelgum.com. As an executive producer at Babelgum, he oversaw extensive content deals and created hundreds of videos distributed via AOL, Google, and Sprint. He also produced a sketch-comedy pilot featuring emerging talent and a reality TV pilot developed with Snoop Dogg’s production company and producer LT Hutton.
From 2006 to 2008, Wagner led Creative Lab LLC as CEO, executive producing and developing comedy content for Sprint, Google, AOL, and DivX. During this period, he produced a distinctive reality TV pilot involving Snoop Dogg’s studio and LT Hutton.
Early in his career, Wagner earned multiple New England Emmy Awards and other honors, including Best of Gannett and ACT Awards, for his work as host, writer, and co-producer of The WLVI Kids Club, which featured children’s programming, public service announcements, and TV specials. He was also one of four international comedians chosen from 2,000 worldwide participants for the first-ever reality series following comedians to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The eight-week series aired on Channel 4 in the UK and Europe, where Wagner’s stage show received 5-star reviews.
Wagner has taught at the New York Film Academy and lectured at Boston University and other institutions on creativity, improvisation, interactive media, and the future of entertainment. He wrote and produced the sketch comedy pilot BabbleOn TV!, created hundreds of online and mobile videos, and has collaborated with hundreds of creators and artists worldwide as a director, producer, writer, and performer.
Holding a degree in Computer Science and Child Psychology with a minor in Mathematics from Boston College, Paul Wagner combines education, experience, and vision, exemplifying the fusion of technology and entertainment.
He currently consults for media and entertainment companies globally, advising on interactive projects, new media ventures, and branded entertainment.
