Director specializing in nonfiction projects, constantly exploring diverse documentary formats to tell compelling stories.
His latest directorial works include "Chapecoense Tragedy" for WBD/HBO by Pacha Films, nominated for Best Documentary at the International Emmy; "To Win or To Win" (7x50) for MBC/Shahid, the largest Arab media group, chronicling the season of Al Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia; and the docuseries "All or Nothing: Brazilian Football Team" (5×52), Amazon Prime Video Brazil’s first documentary series by Big Bonsai and Pitch Productions, where he directed Episode 4 and the second unit.
He has also contributed to several National Geographic Channel projects, including "The Brazilian National Museum Fire" (48) by Duo2.tv, and two episodes—LGBTphobia and Religious Intolerance—from the "Explorer Investigation" series (6×26) produced by Vice Media for NatGeo. Additionally, he directed two seasons of "Wild World" (9×48 and 4×44) and "Extraordinary Stories" (8×44).
His directorial work includes the documentary "Concrete Landscape" (70) about Portuguese architect and Pritzker Prize winner Álvaro Siza; "Miller & Fried" (70), co-produced with Globo Filmes, screened in theaters in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and aired during prime time on Globonews; and the docuseries "Tapajós Treasures" (13×24), filmed in the Amazon Rainforest.
He directed the documentaries "Barbeiros" (20), featured at the It’s All True Festival, Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), and Festival do Rio; "Samba from Quadra" (17), showcased at over 20 festivals including It’s All True and DocsMX (Mexico), winning 7 awards; and "O Pai do Gol" (20), screened at Cine Ceará, the New York Brazilian Film Festival, and Festival do Rio.
As a producer, he worked on "It's All a Plan" (74), about architect and Pritzker Prize winner Paulo Mendes da Rocha, awarded Best Documentary by the audience at São Paulo IFF in 2017 and screened at Havana IFF and BAFICI; and "Vilanova Artigas: The Architect and the Light" (90), sponsored by Itaú Cultural, which ran for 11 weeks in Brazilian cinemas and received the APCA award for its cultural initiatives commemorating the architect’s centenary.
At Olé Produções, he produced "Outro Rolê" (70), which premiered at the 38th Bogocine, Colombia IFF; "A Partner to Call my Own" (80), awarded Best Documentary at the Gramado Film Festival, one of Latin America’s most prestigious festivals; and the series "Wooden Soul" (8×26), currently available on Curta! and the Australian architecture and design streaming platform Shelter.
