Karina Michel is an Emmy Award-winning British-American actress, producer, journalist, and podcast host whose work spans film, television, and impactful storytelling. With a passion for speech and drama performance from a young age, she began her career early, later modeling with prestigious agencies including Ford Models and Otto Models in New York and Los Angeles.
Transitioning into television and film, Karina appeared in projects including Dexter, Entourage, CSI: NY, and Transformers 2, and has since contributed to over 100 productions. Her career has evolved into a powerful blend of acting, producing, and purpose-driven storytelling.
As a filmmaker and journalist, Karina is known for creating content that explores meaningful social issues and human-centered narratives where her natural curiosity and intuitive awareness became defining strengths. She has developed a reputation for thoughtfully reporting on nuanced topics ranging from mental health to incarceration, creating space for honest dialogue and elevating voices often overlooked. Karina won an Emmy Award for Heart of FL: PD, a film she directed, produced and starred in. She also served as executive producer on Little Miss Sumo, directed by Matt Kay, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award, won Best UK Film, and was named one of Forbes’ Top Five Short Films to See at Tribeca 2019. Additionally, she contributed to the production of Queens, which was nominated for the prestigious Iris Prize for Best British Film.
