Biografía
Justin is equally adept both in front of and behind the camera, with a passion for film that began early in life. At 13, he created a six-hour backyard epic alongside his brother and a neighbor, reminiscent of the film "Super 8," but without the monsters.
He graduated with honors from Stevenson University with a Film degree, where he refined his craft through student projects, music videos, and independent films, incorporating advanced techniques and complex special effects. Justin also started composing original scores for his films. He gained crew experience in the Washington, D.C. area, serving as boom operator and sound recorder for "Life Fine Tuned" (Renaissance Women Productions, 2011), which received several independent film awards. His other crew roles include DIT for "The Rangers" (The Forge Studios, 2015) and camera operator for music videos featuring local artists.
Justin’s acting breakthrough came with his lead role as Randall Dooley, a gamer-nerd turned hero, in the award-winning independent film "The Fellows Hip: Rise of the Gamers" (Opening Act Productions, 2011). A career highlight was appearing as a Union soldier extra on the set of Steven Spielberg’s "Lincoln" (2012). He has also worked as an extra on productions such as "House of Cards," "VEEP," "Game Change," and "Sally Pacholok." Recently, he secured principal roles in a Pennsylvania governor’s political ad and an episode of "Secrets of The Arsenal" on the American Heroes Channel.
In 2012, Justin made his producer/director debut with "Made in the U.S.A. - a 30 Day Journey," traveling nationwide for a month alongside the film’s creator, Josh Miller. Besides directing, he handled the camera work to help tell Josh’s story.
More recently, Justin has ventured into web series as director, co-writer, and producer of "Genre Wars: Resistance Rising," also portraying the character "Reman." Collaborating with Robin C. Farrell, he expanded a story concept originally developed for his first online film contest entry—the genesis of Genre Wars—broadening the narrative world from a few characters in that initial short film.
