Biografía
Sarah Bishop is an Australian comedian, actor, writer, and director. She is recognized for voicing the lead character Sarah in YOLO: Crystal Fantasy on Adult Swim and as one-third of the sketch comedy group Skit Box.
Skit Box has amassed over 140 million online views with viral videos like Activewear. They were featured among the 10 Australian Female Comedians You Need to Know by MamaMia, earned the Genre Excellence Award for their live performance at the 2015 Sydney Comedy Fringe Festival, produced an Activewear sequel with British pop star Ellie Goulding, and performed at the Sydney Opera House during the 2019 Just for Laughs Festival. In 2016, they created, wrote, starred in, and co-directed the sketch comedy TV series Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am, an NBC Universal Seeso Original co-produced with ABC Australia.
A prominent figure in Australian sketch comedy, Sarah has written, performed, and/or directed sketches for TV shows such as The Moth Effect on Amazon, Kinne Tonight on Ten, Black Comedy on ABC, and The Slot on the Comedy Channel.
Her directing credits include several TV commercials through Revolver, featuring Isowhey with Celeste Barber and Tourism Australia starring Luke Hemsworth. In 2019, she was a Directors Attachment to Peter Duncan (Rake) on the TV series Operation Buffalo (featuring Ewen Leslie, James Cromwell, and Jessica De Gouw) with Porchlight Films, collaborating with a creative team including producer Vincent Sheehan, Academy Award-winning production designer Colin Gibson, and award-winning cinematographer Martin McGrath (Muriel's Wedding). In 2020, she co-directed and starred in the web series Ding Dong I'm Gay, funded by Screen Australia and nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Online Series.
In 2022, she graduated from the Second City Film School and has continued her training through the Second City Conservatory in Chicago and classes at The Annoyance.
She holds dual citizenship in Australia and the United Kingdom.
