Actor Anthony L. Fernandez emerged in 2013 after years of honing his craft and gaining experience in various productions, eventually building a successful acting career. In 2014, he drew more attention with roles in independent films like "Thou Shalt Not Kill," the BET original film "Crossed the Line," and earned mainstream recognition for his comedic breakout as Angel in the 2015 Jeremy Garelick/Will Packer feature "The Wedding Ringer."
Following his comedic success, Fernandez expanded into thriller, suspense, and action genres with films such as "The Evil Gene," "The Boatman," and the Scott Adkins/Isaac Florentine intense fight film "Close Range," showcasing his versatility in character and genre.
He achieved prime time television success with roles like Carlos Diego on "Hawaii Five-0" and Texas in John Singleton's BET crime drama "Rebel." Over the next few years, he broadened his resume with diverse roles on shows including "Shameless," "S.W.A.T," "Superstore," "Snowfall," "Days of Our Lives," "The Young and The Restless," and "Last Man on Earth."
Fernandez secured a series regular role as Barry Bailando on the Emmy-nominated Netflix comedy "It's Bruno." Between 2020 and 2021, he continued to build his credits with feature films like Marianna Palka’s thriller "Collection" and guest appearances on "Deputy," "Coyote," "Animal Kingdom," "Bosch," and a standout guest role as Luis Carter on "NCIS."
In 2022, he delivered another comedic highlight starring as Calvin in the Happy Madison/Hey Eddie film "Home Team." Alongside his major studio work, he portrayed Danny, a troubled husband and father, in the award-winning independent drama "Addicted to You," earning a best actor award. That year also saw the New Line Cinema release of "House Party." In early 2023, Fernandez appeared as Calvin Dupree on "CSI Vegas" and secured two series regular roles: Bill Ochoa on "Truth Be Told" and Detective Suarez on "Fatal Attraction."
Currently, Anthony L. Fernandez appears as Burke on "911: Lonestar," showcasing his action and stunt skills, and is set to star in two feature films slated for 2025 release: the comedy "Horchata with Oat Milk," addressing gentrification, and the crime drama "Splash City," produced by Berner, CEO of Cookies Brand and rapper/producer. He also recently gained recognition starring as The Modelo Recruiter in the Modelo/Constellation Brands campaign.
