Biografía
Eileen Galindo, an experienced actor in film, stage, and television, has appeared in numerous projects over her extensive career. Most recently, she stars alongside Oscar Isaac in the Academy Award-nominated short film The Letter Room, a dark prison comedy about a correctional officer transferred to the letter room. Her notable work in award-winning short films also includes Mosquito: The Bite of Passage, directed and written by Brian Vincent Rhodes, the Student Academy Award Winner Teng Cheng, Caprichosas, and Woman Child.
On the big screen, Eileen recently appeared in Hulu's original comedy film The Binge, acting opposite Skyler Gisondo, Dexter Darden, and Eduardo Franco. Other recent comedic roles include Granddaddy Daycare with Danny Trejo, Hello My Name Is Frank alongside Garrett Brown and Hayley Kiyoko, and Body High featuring Bug Hall and Flava Flav.
In theater, Eileen has performed both Off Broadway and in regional productions nationwide. Notably, in 2002 she starred opposite Chita Rivera in The House of Bernarda Alba at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. In 2010, she earned a nomination for the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Featured Performance for The Clean House at International City Theatre in Long Beach, CA, where she also won the Garland Award that year.
On television, Eileen has a recurring role as Isabel Vega in the eagerly awaited second season of the CBS All Access (now Paramount+) series Why Women Kill, premiering this summer. She has also guest-starred on numerous popular shows including Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Stumptown, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and The Affair, among others. Her extensive voiceover career includes lending her voice to beloved characters on long-running animated series such as Dora The Explorer and Phineas and Ferb.
A passionate advocate for artists, Eileen played a key role in the non-traditional casting movement during the 1990s at just twenty-one years old, actively supporting Broadway producers to embrace diversity in casting. This effort has contributed to a more representative Broadway today. She has also served on the board of the Screen Actors Guild.
Originally from New York City, Eileen now lives in Los Angeles.
