Biografía
Alfredo Federico was actively involved with The Latin American Film Company in 2006, which produced several high-profile arthouse films, including "Tropa de Elite", directed by José Padilha (Golden Bear winner at the Berlin Film Festival, 2008), and "The Burning Plain", directed by Guillermo Arriaga (Official Competition at the Venice Film Festival, recipient of the Marcello Mastroianni Award, 2008). In 2011, he founded 39FILMS in Italy, an independent audiovisual production company specializing in documentaries and feature films. His work as a producer includes documentaries such as "Caffè Sospeso" and "Food on the Go", both acquired by Netflix, as well as films including "Andromeda Galaxy", directed by More Raça (Best Film at the Matera Film Festival); "Negative Numbers", directed by Uta Beria; "Soledad", directed by Agustina Macri (Warsaw Film Festival); "Takeaway", directed by Renzo Carbonera (Rome Film Festival); "The Beat Bomb" and "Catartis", both directed by Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani (Torino Film Festiva and Rome Film Festival); the Italian remake of Conversations with Other Women, directed by Filippo Conz; House Is Where the Films Are, directed by More Raça; Dollars & Garbage, directed by Michele Rovini; Don’t Close That Door, directed by Francesco Banesta and Matteo Vicentini Orgnani (Best Documentary at the Rome Independent Film Festival); and The Real Beings, directed by Vakhtang Jajanidze. Upcoming projects include the feature film Back to Buenos Aires, directed by Marco Bechis. Since 2018, he has been a member of the European Film Academy. In 2024, together with Marco Colombo, he founded Writing Box, a film and series IP development company.
